This major federally-funded project entails an extensive community participation effort in developing an overall transportation plan for Honolulu in the 21st century. As subconsultant to Parsons Brinckerhoff, PlanPacific serves on the core team guiding the public participation and policy development elements of the project. Marisco Boat Repair Facility & Industrial Subdivision ~ Island of Oahu
PlanPacific was responsible for land planning, environmental assessment and permitting for a boat repair facility and industrial subdivision on a shoreline property abutting Barbers Point Harbor. The project involves a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers permit for channel dredging, a Special Management Area Permit, and subdivision. Date: 2001

A Honolulu trust company has engaged PlanPacific to obtain Community Business District zoning for this commercial infill project in the Waialae Avenue corridor. PlanPacifics responsibilities include application preparation, community relations and testimony before the Planning Commission and the City Council. Date: 2001

Central Oahu Regional Park ~ Island of Oahu
PlanPacific was selected by the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Design and Construction, for the planning and preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement for a 269-acre regional park in Central Oahu. The proposed park includes facilities for baseball, soccer, softball, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and swimming. It also includes bicycle/pedestrian paths and a community center. Date: 1998

Economic Development Conveyance of the Tiyan Economic Development Zone ~ Territory of Guam
PlanPacific served on a team developing the Master Plan for the U.S. Naval Air Station Agana, which will be closed and returned to the Territory of Guam. Part of a multi-disciplinary team, PlanPacifics role was to develop an Economic Development Conveyance application to the U.S. Navy for reuse of major portions of the base for a civic center, offices, retail and industrial uses.
