Kailua Beach Management Plan
The plan included map inventories, such as the one above to identify accretion claims by adjoining landowners by benchmark years to determine more readily the property rights and regulatory controls that apply to specific claimed lands.
The plan recommends measures to contain and prevent dune erosion due to uncontrolled pedestrian pathways, grading and other activities that lead to removal or replacement of native vegetation that stabilizes the dune.
